Terms of Service

Last updated

These terms cover the fr0stbyte Mac app, its online services and this website. They are an agreement between you and fr0stbyte by Malik Ghani ("we").

By using fr0stbyte, or by buying fr0stbyte Pro or credits, you agree to these terms. The Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data, and the Refund Policy covers refunds.

Who sells fr0stbyte

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Every purchase also follows Paddle's Buyer Terms. Paddle takes the payment, charges any tax and sends your receipt.

You can ask for a refund within 14 days of a purchase. The Refund Policy explains how.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use or buy fr0stbyte.

fr0stbyte asks you to sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Use an address only you can read, because anyone with access to it can sign in as you. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Free trial

You can try fr0stbyte for free. The Pricing page and the app show what the trial includes.

fr0stbyte Pro

  • fr0stbyte Pro is a lifetime license. You pay once, it does not expire, and it includes every update we release.
  • Each license unlocks Pro on one Mac at a time. To move it, deactivate it in Settings › Account, then enter your license key on the new Mac.
  • Your license key is in Settings › Account, and fr0stbyte emails it to your fr0stbyte account address.
  • Keep your license key to yourself. Do not publish, share or resell it.
  • If a purchase is refunded or charged back, its license stops unlocking the app.

Download credits

  • Credits pay for App Store downloads in fr0stbyte, with or without Pro.
  • A download uses 1 credit per MB (1,000,000 bytes) of its size, rounded down, and at least 1 credit.
  • Credits are prepaid, never expire and have no cash value.
  • Credits belong to the fr0stbyte account you are signed in to and work on any Mac where you sign in with it. You cannot move them to another account or another person.
  • Free credits, such as the welcome credits a new fr0stbyte account gets once, follow the same rules and cannot be refunded.
  • Credits from a refunded or charged-back purchase are removed from your balance. If you already used them, your balance goes below zero until you add credits.
  • We keep your balance and its history on our servers with your fr0stbyte account, so erasing or replacing a Mac does not lose it.

Using fr0stbyte

Use fr0stbyte only for apps and content you have the right to download, install or inspect.

  • You sign in to the App Store with your own Apple ID. Apple's terms apply to that account and to every app you get through it.
  • Respect the rights of app developers. Do not use fr0stbyte to get around copy protection, and do not share, publish or sell app files you get through fr0stbyte outside fr0stbyte.
  • Do not misuse our servers, for example by scraping them, probing them for weaknesses or reselling access to them.
  • Follow the laws that apply to you.

fr0stbyte is not affiliated with Apple. Apple, App Store, iPhone and Mac are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Online features

App Store downloads, review data and AI-powered features run on our servers and rely on Apple and other providers. They can change, slow down or stop at times.

When you download a version of an app through fr0stbyte, our server keeps a copy of that version's app file, with no Apple ID or license data, and may deliver it to other fr0stbyte users who download the same version. The Privacy Policy explains what this stores.

App Store data such as reviews and rankings comes from public sources and can be incomplete. AI-powered results can be wrong, so check anything important.

No warranty

We work to keep fr0stbyte accurate and available. Still, to the extent the law allows, we provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption.

Our total liability for any claim about fr0stbyte is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (for example for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer).

Ending these terms

You can stop using fr0stbyte at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or the service at risk.

Parts of these terms that by their nature should last, such as the limits on liability, still apply after they end.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For a change that matters, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using fr0stbyte after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia. This does not take away any protection the consumer laws of your country give you.
